HI! Sorry about yesterday, it wasn't the best day. I had so many brain explosions of ideas that i couldn't think afterwards. This blog is of course about hamsters. So lets get to it. Its late, and for some reason my hamster isn't awake, her ears are down and her eyes are all the way closed, meaning she is in deep sleep. Does being a Russian Dwarf hamster have anything to do with how they sleep? Hmmm.... I'll need to look that up. My friend's hamster has mites, and he is losing some hair behind his head, have the same problem? Don't worry I have a remedy.
Step 1:Take a small, soft towel, and wet it with warm (not hot) water. Wring out as much water as you can. Rub the infested area until hair looks funny. READ: If your hamster has no hair in the infested area, just rub until the area is very damp, but not too wet.
Step 2:Next, dillute 5 drops of vinegar with 15 drops of water. Dip the small soft towel into the sollution and rub into the same area. Repeat step 1.
Step 3: PAT the area dry.
In a few days, you may see more hair growing out, this is a sign that SOME of the mites have been killed, as for the other mites, your local exotic pet vet must get those out.
